English country side Derbyshire have signed Sri Lanka all-rounder Jeevan Mendis for the first half of next summer.
The 33-year-old will fill the county's overseas player role from April until the arrival of South Africa leg-spinner Imran Tahir in June.
Mendis has played 54 one-day and 16 Twenty20 internationals for Sri Lanka.
"He is an experienced match winner who will also help our talented youngsters," director of cricket Kim Barnett told the club website.(BBC)
