Just like the private sector, I hope the government is going to half the wages of SLA staff members? They don’t contribute a dime into the country - and SLA has been a huge burden to the tax payer given the accumulating dollar losses!

Let's admit it, It ain't lankans forte to run a national airline profitable in the long run!!! All SL government should do is, collect landing fee (exorbitant)from all airlines touching SRI lanka airports !! Remember, this an island and ONLY way in and out by airplane !! Yeah!! Treasury will rake in Billions instead the burden!! Huh!!

ideally salary should be adjusted for non flying days which can be put back when things resume. many airlines have done so. BA today suspended 36000 staff

Cut the salaries by 50 per cent to bring down the losses. They have far too much at the expense of the tax payer
