One should accept responsibility for the electoral defeat of New Democratic Front (NDF) candidate Sajith Premadasa collectively without pointing fingers at each other, former UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake said.

Mr Attanayake, who actively backed Mr Premadasa, said in a statement that pointing fingers at each other would destroy the efforts made by those who supported Mr Premadasa to come up once again.

“Efforts made by us to come up once again will be destroyed if we kept on pointing fingers at each other without accepting responsibility collectively,” Mr Attanayake said.

“I will not hesitate to accept responsibility for any shortcomings that might have taken place on my part,” he added. (Yohan Perera)

I thought Tissa has been chased from UNP for creating forge documents. Somebody told me that people didn't vote for Sajith as bunch of thieves backed him

UNP was defeated by people because it failed to punish those involved in corruption and crimes against humanity and failed to eliminate executive presidency

He may leak all the organization secret. Sajith never bring him back.

Accept collective responsibility instead of pointing fingers: Tissa - Ha! Coming from a traitor who when he jumped ship in 2015 proclaimed that he has switched off the Main Switch of the UNP before jumped like a monkey from one branch to another. The biggest mistake Sajith did was to make this joker his spokesman.

    Anoosh Monday, 25 November 2019 12:26 PM

No collective responsibility, only collection of Pads by Sajith.
