50 students hospitalized

At least 50 students of a Tamil School in Nawalapitiya have been hospitalized today after they fainted due to inhaling of contaminated air, police said.

It is believed that these students fainted following the spraying of agrochemicals at a Tea plantation next to the School.

Meanwhile, the authorities today temporally shut down the Stockholm Barathi Tamil Vidyalaya in Hatton after hospitalization of at least 40 students due to a sudden viral fewer yesterday.

    Doesnt the President read the newspapers at least once in three days to detect disasters like this happening almost everyday or is it that he is non-chalent about it as these kids are tamil?

    Thorough investigation is needed in order to avoid similar incidents in future. Innocent students of upcountry have been affected.
