At least 50 students of a Tamil School in Nawalapitiya have been hospitalized today after they fainted due to inhaling of contaminated air, police said.

It is believed that these students fainted following the spraying of agrochemicals at a Tea plantation next to the School.

Meanwhile, the authorities today temporally shut down the Stockholm Barathi Tamil Vidyalaya in Hatton after hospitalization of at least 40 students due to a sudden viral fewer yesterday.
