Forty-three (43) new Covid-19 cases have been detected increasing the total number of patients to 2,511, the Government Information Department said.
It said that 13 cases have been reported from the Kandakadu Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre and the 30 others cases are close contacts of them.
Earlier yesterday, five persons had been identified from the Rajanganaya areas. They have been identified as close associates of the Covid-19 infected inmates at the Kandakadu Centre.
