A total of 226 Navy personnel have tested positive for COVID-19 as of today, Army Commander Shavendra Silva said. He said 147 were from the Welisara Navy Camp while the others were Navy personnel who were on leave.

Defense personnel cannot be isolated in their barracks or diner. But was this not foreseen when the authorities drew up the action plan? Our soldiers are not robots, but are subject to dangers of harsh elements in the environment.
