Mr Sampandan says that he was never a spokesman of the LTTE. but history says that the nomination papers for the 2004 elections were prepared by the LTTE. TNA never condoned the atrocities done by the LTTE. a body of a Tamil MP who was killed in LTTE controlled area was brought to a place where Praba attended in presence of TNA MPs was never denied. they shared the same view of LTTE then and now they share with Tamil Diaspora. we to can identify black and white easyly.

We must thank the Daily Mirror for this very informative and educative interview with R.Sampanthan MP and leader of TNA.

He has answered, clarified, explained questions put to him by the reporter on wide ranging subjects.

Sampanthan as a senior and respected leader of the Thamil people has given honest and sincere answers without prevarication, dilly dallying and beating about the bush.

Sinhalese are in a majority in the island, but Thamils and Muslims are in a majority in 2 out of the 9 provinces.

He has made it clear that a workable and durable solution to the ethnic conflict within the frame work of a united and undivided Ceylon should be found by genuine power sharing. All people must be treated equal under democracy. There must be a sense of belonging on the part of Thamils as well as Muslims.
