Over and over again facts are reconfirmed. Police is there not to protect the law abiding but he law breakers. Mr IGP- have you got any shame on you to lead a force like this???? Where in the world such things happen? It is not late even now to arrest them as they could be identified.

General Fonseka summed it all up very eloquently: these are the thugs sponsored by the highest in the land along with his brothers and hooligan ministers. These so called leaders will finally be left with only the thugs. Democracy in Sri Lanka has now taken a new meaning: "By the thugs, of the thugs and for the thugs". Shame, Shame.

Thanks to DM. The whole world can now see how the so called patriotic people (read "thugs") in Sri Lanka exercise their "sovereign": powers armed with attacking poles etc. A real shame, indeed.

the fittest will win the battle, even though you made comments based on your biased perceptions. No body could criticize the government as bunch of morons since, most of the legislatures are experienced and qualified legal experts. As the public, our task is to become enthusiastic spectators of the scenario whilst maintaining the impartiality. Also you could have real fun by watching "KIYANA KATHA and WATA NATHI KATA".

The Government is turning a blind eye to this type of thuggery. They are encouraging the people who are willing to resort to behaviour such as this to please the rulers, and get their rewards in kind and in positions of authority. The Government can then keep their two thirds majority and do as they please.
And they call it DEMOCRACY!

It looks like the GOON Brigade is up and ready to cause mayhem on behalf of their leaders against law abiding citizens of this country. I dont see any police personnel around, who should take preventative measures and remove the sticks carried by this group. It looks like the present GO/SL is instigating the GOONS.
