IGP Pujith Jayasundera and former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando were further remanded until November 6 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne today.
The duo was remanded as per the order given by the Colombo High Court to remand the suspects after revising the order of the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court to release them.
Earlier, IGP Jayasundera and Mr Fernando had been charged over their failure to prevent the Easter Sunday attacks by the Attorney General (AG).
The Colombo Chief Magistrate had granted them bail.
