SLC like a Respectable brothel !!! Yeah!

    Sokrates Monday, 18 May 2020 08:50 AM

Yes we need more than one new stadium. We need a Gotabaya Rajapaksa Stadium, a Basil Rajapaksa Stadium, a Chamal Rajapaksa Stadium, a Namal Rajapaksa Stadium, a Yoshita Rajapaksa Stadium and maybe also a Shiranthi Rajapaksa Stadium.

    Jude Monday, 18 May 2020 08:52 AM

Lately the SLC RUN by Mudalalis' sons, Bookiee men, Taxi-drivers son etc.!!! In SHORT it has gone to the dogs!!!

    Sambo Monday, 18 May 2020 08:53 AM

We already have one ground in soorya wewa in which playing cricket very difficult cause of the sever wind. Constructing one more is of no use as we play very little cricket in Sri Lanka.

Roger Galpihilla Monday, 18 May 2020 08:54 AM

Yes! why not? We have enough donations for Covid-19 Fund. Let's go shopping. Ha Ha! Roger - Germany

    Vipin B Monday, 18 May 2020 08:54 AM

    Do we need Mahela's opinion?

    Akram Monday, 18 May 2020 08:59 AM

If not, how can we get the commission out of construction. Mahela may not aware of the basics behind.

    JIM Monday, 18 May 2020 09:11 AM

Thank you for that wise observation. But who are you to question the infinite wisdom of our beloved minister of stupidity.

Neil Horadagoda Monday, 18 May 2020 09:12 AM

Well said Mahela. Anyone would agree that we have, are and given the existing infrastructure have and will be doing well in cricket. If the government wants to concentrate to improve sports, it should invest and popularize Football where the infrastructure and material is minimal compared to cricket, but more importantly it can be adopted in all parts of the country with little effort to bring a sports and fitness culture among our people. Football is the World's game - let's also join.

Do not worry pal. The frog will soon say it was my personal idea. It is goes through the loot is divided among themselves. We get our share of the loan repayment. Nice!

    varuna Monday, 18 May 2020 09:14 AM

Thank you for your timely comment, Mahela. Unfortunately, this is just a taste of all prodigal expenditure that is to happen under this regime. May the noble triple gems bless my country.

    Viraj Monday, 18 May 2020 09:15 AM

Well said Mahela, like Sanga, you speak the reality, but Rajapaksha patriots want to sell the country in true patriotism style

    Pissa Monday, 18 May 2020 09:16 AM

Because, Dr. 2500 needs some black money.

STS Shantha Monday, 18 May 2020 09:17 AM

This is clearly a waste of public funds at this critical hour. Our economy is heading towards a recession.

    BuffaloaCitizen Monday, 18 May 2020 09:19 AM

Yes Yes we need, because that is where the famous pocket money for Ali Baba

Hans perlee Monday, 18 May 2020 09:25 AM

No we don't need another one

    Jude Monday, 18 May 2020 09:27 AM

After Kenyan city Nairobi (got 6 Intl.Cricket grounds) it's COLOMBO city have more!(has 5 International Cricket grounds) Why Sri Lanka need another international cricket stadium!!??? Some people wanna to make some money!!?? Huh!! Already SL have 10 cricket grounds hosted international cricket games!!

    Johan Monday, 18 May 2020 09:30 AM

Already in Galle Stadium wild beasts are playing. May be one match for a year is played and that also has ended up in havoc.Politicians must get together and draw up national plan for the prosperity of Sri Lanka without allowing each politician to get fame in their area for the sake of grabbing votes

    SL Monday, 18 May 2020 09:33 AM

Mahela.. do we need another airport? Do we need another habour? But we have. So another cricket stadium won't be a surprse.

Noda KIng Monday, 18 May 2020 09:37 AM

Exactly , We dont need but they need because the commissions are very high ! .

    Joe Monday, 18 May 2020 10:09 AM

These white elephants are the only way to loot money. The president should shelf this brilliant idea.

    Jaya Monday, 18 May 2020 09:43 AM

Salute to your courage and honesty! Keep it up. We need such true Sri Lankans.

Samson de silva Monday, 18 May 2020 09:56 AM

What are you talking, Mahela? Construction is where the "komis gahili" opportunities are.

    Sunjith Monday, 18 May 2020 10:01 AM

Very true! Good on you Mahela for standing up and thinking that way. That money could go towards developing the poorer villages etc

Kinggsley Wijesinhe Monday, 18 May 2020 10:01 AM

Mahela, you seem to forget that more stadiums mean more commissions. It's that simple.

    Sunil Monday, 18 May 2020 10:01 AM

    You forget about commission

    Chryshan K. Monday, 18 May 2020 10:03 AM

We don't need a ground for Cricket. But to generate commissions we need more and more construction. May be a port in Kandy and then divert the sea towards Kandy.

Devendra William Monday, 18 May 2020 10:07 AM

Very good question Mahela? They can build more houses for homeless and build bridges in the villages who risk their lives by using wooden bridges which are at the verge of collapse.

    DillonDP Monday, 18 May 2020 02:16 PM

wow what a pathetic state of affairs... cant we instead make whole of Sri Lanka into a one big cricket ground

    gots Monday, 18 May 2020 05:43 PM

commission decisions, like mig deal. port city/hambanthota china harbour. 1.6 million per km roads. we need for crooks to prosper.

Chamal Wijeratne Monday, 18 May 2020 05:51 PM

These are the ways (new highways, cricket stadium, power projects etc) to swell the pockets. GOD save Sri Lanka and What fools we have been!

    Buddhist Monday, 18 May 2020 07:13 PM

We do not need it, but they need it because of the 10% they get into their pockets.
