Former Eastern Province Governor M.L.A.M. Hisbullah said yesterday there was no legal provision to take over the assets of the Batticaloa Campus (Pvt) Ltd to the government as suggested by certain people.
He told a news conference that he was ready to operate the university in collaboration with the government.
Mr. Hisbullah said his company was willing to share the ownership of the university with government and added that administrative matters, recruitment of students, appointing of a vice-chancellor could also be done as per mutual agreement.
