A 51-year-old woman who returned from Kuwait died from Covid-19 reporting the 10th COVID-19 death in Sri Lanka, Director General of Health Services Anil Jasinghe said.
He said she was in quarantine.

Sad but we have been doing a tremendous job keeping the deaths very low compared to the other countries.

Worldwide there is a sizeable proportion of people among those returning to their home countries because of the pandemic are being tested positive few days after their return. Surely it can’t be that the foreigners in a host country are more prone to be infected by the virus than the others. So the only conclusion to draw is that somehow they are being infected on their journey back home.But what is not supporting this argument and hence puzzling is none of the aircrew who use the same airports and air planes are in anyway being affected by the virus.
