Wesley College will be all out to defend their title at the Milo All Island Under-16 ten-a-side rugby tournament which will take place today (August 9) at the Trinity College Rugby Stadium, Pallekelle and the Bogambara Stadium. The second day’s action (August 10) will take place at the Bogambara Stadium in Kandy.
Last year, Wesley beat the Dharmaraja College having seen off Vidyartha College, Mahanama College and Prince of Wales in their group encounters.
The Rajans will need to play their best to overcome Thurstan College, Richmond College and Lalith Athulathmudali in their group encounters this year. Trinity College playing their matches at home will need to get the better of St. Anthony’s College and St. Benedicts College before moving in to the second round. Thirty schools will lock horns in this year’s event.
