Renu Yapa was appointed as President of the Sri Lanka Masters Women’s National Hockey Association (SLMWNHA) at their Annual General Meeting held at the Cinnamon Grand in Colombo recently.
Yapa represented the National Women’s Hockey Team during the 1990s and early 2000s while also captaining the side in 1999.
Yapa will assume duties immediately alongside the Working Executive Committee which will continue in their positions until next year’s Masters World Cup.
