Nalanda College Skipper Lakshitha Rasanjana and Chamindu Wijesinhe shone on day two in their drawn 90th Battle of the Maroons Inter-School Big Match against the traditional rivals Ananda College which concluded at the SSC Grounds in Maitland Place yesterday (3).
Ananda resuming from their overnight score of 52 for four were bowled out for 232 runs with Moditha Ranatunga and Janidu Jayawardena making half centuries.
Nalanda batting the second time ended the day scoring 216 for five.
Nalanda: 269/7 declared and 216/5 (Lakshitha Rasanjana 86, Chamindu Wijesinghe 64, Moksha Sankalpa 20, Avishka Perera 20)
Ananda (52/4 overnight): 232 (Moditha Ranatunga 64, Janidu Jayawardena 63, Kalana Wijesiri 39, Dineth Samaraweera 4/63, Chamindu Wijesinghe 3/58).
