Confident Navy eye second straight win

Navy Sports Club will look to register their second win in the Dialog Inter-Club League Rugby Tournament when they take on Army Sports Club in their first-round fixture at Welisara tomorrow (10).

Navy SC beat Air Force SC 24-14 last week to record their first win in the tournament after having lost their four previous matches.

Meanwhile Army SC beat Air Force SC 26-8 at Welisara and drew against the CH and FC having lost three earlier matches.

The game should turn out to be a battle between the respective forwards as both teams have some outstanding players who are determined to prove their potential.

Army SC: Rasika Abeynayaka, Aravin Karunaratne, Shehan Silva, Nalan Deshpriya, Nalaka Maduranga, Chameera Silva, Manoj Abeyratne, Dhanuka Wijethilaka, Manoj Bandara (Captain) and Ashan Bandara, Sudaraka Dikkubura, Thusitha Senanayake, Tomasi Caqusau, Madushan Thalwaththa Gayan Salinda.

Navy SC: Deshan Wimukthi, Amith Gunasinghe, Charith Silva, Supun Peiris, Adeesha Weerathunga, Janith Laksara, Chamith Madushanka, Radeesha Senevirathna, Richie Dharmapala (Captain) and Seru Cavuilati, Samitha Dhananjaya, Mushin Faleel, Sachinka Abeysekara, Chathura Senevirathna, Isuru Kongahawatta.
