SL lose to Kazakhstan in Beach Volleyball

The first set turned out to be an exciting one as the game went into a tie-breaker after the scores were level 21-21.

However, Kazakhstan held their nerve during the vital stages and went on to add the finishing touches by winning the set 23-21 in an absolute thriller.

The Sri Lankan pair failed to maintain the same momentum in the second set and were comprehensively outplayed 11-21.

Sri Lanka will play against the South Korean combination of Junyoung Kim and Hongchan Kim in their second match today.
