Laos to host Asia Rugby Sevens

Laos Rugby Union (LRU) will host the 2019 Asia Rugby Under-20 Sevens at the Vientiane Chao Vong Stadium on August 24 and 25.
This is the first time that the tournament will take place in Laos. 

Earlier, in tandem this event was organised by the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union (HKRFU). 

A total of 12 teams will compete in this year’s tournament in both Men’s and Women’s segment.

Sri Lanka won this tournament in 2016 under Kevin Dixon and also they emerged runners-up the following year. 

Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) is expected to name the initial pool soon and the final tour squad of 12 players will be made in mid August.
