Asalanka to lead SL Emerging Team to SA

Former Richmond College Skipper Charith Asalanka has been selected to lead the Sri Lanka Emerging Team for the tour of South Africa which is scheduled to get underway from June 29.
Asalanka will lead both the ODI and 4-day Squad which comprises players of the calibre of Minod Bhanuka, Kamindu Mendis, Chamika Karunaratne, Pathum Nissanka, Asitha Fernando, Ashen Bandara and young Kalana Perera who have been included in both the squads.
The other notable inclusions are Lasith Embuldeniya, Hasitha Boyagoda, Amila Aponso and Sandun Weerakkody. 
The Sri Lanka Emerging Team will be involved in a Triangular Series with the South Africa Emerging Team and the University Sports South Africa Team. 
The two 4-day matches are slotted to be played from July 18 to 21 at Senwes Park and from July 25 to 28 at Tuks Oval. 
The Triangular Series schedule:
June 29: Sri Lanka Emerging vs South Africa Emerging. July 1: Sri Lanka Emerging vs South Africa University Sports. July 5: Sri Lanka Emerging vs South Africa University Sports. July 6: Sri Lanka Emerging vs South Africa Emerging. July 9: Sri Lanka Emerging vs South Africa University Sports. July 10: Sri Lanka Emerging vs South Africa Emerging. July 14: final.
One Day Squad:
Charith Asalanka (Captain), Sandun Weerakkody, Pathum Nissanka, Minod Bhanuka, Sammu Ashan, Kamindu Mendis, Ashen Bandara, Chamika Karunaratne, Asitha Fernando, Kalana Perera, Dilshan Madusanka, Lahiru Madusanka, Amila Aponso, Ramesh Mendis and Sangeeth Cooray.
4-Day Squad:
Charith Asalanka (Captain), Hasitha Boyagoda, Pathum Nissanka, Lahiru Udara, Minod Bhanuka, Kamindu Mendis, Chamika Karunaratne, Asitha Fernando, Kalana Perera, Mohamed Shiraz, Jehan Daniel, Lasith Embuldeniya, Nishan Peiris, Promod Maduwantha and Ashen Bandara.
