Wanted to hob-nob but snubbed!

The big boss was on a visit to a place of religious worship. He travelled by helicopter and a high political authority had arrived in a vehicle to pick up the big boss on alighting from the helicopter. 

Meanwhile, another prominent politico from the area stood by the vehicle expecting the big boss to invite him to accompany in the same vehicle. However, the big boss got into the vehicle ignoring the prominent politico and left for the place of religious worship. 

When the big boss returned to the vehicle after participating in the religious observances to travel back to the heli-pad, the prominent politico again stood by the vehicle in the hope that he would be invited to accompany him in the vehicle. However, the big boss ignored the prominent politico again. 

The prominent politico cut a sorry figure when leaving the scene, they say.
