They are disillusioned!

There are two state purohitas in the government who are highly disillusioned with their current status, they say.

One of the disappointed duo is a politico holding a high post in the Blue party. He is said to be lamenting while chatting to his buddies that the position offered to him is not befitting his status in the political party. What has hurt him more is the fact that he has been compelled to play the second fiddle to a minor political party leader holding the top team status.

“This is a great injustice done to a high-up of an old main political party in the country,” he would tell his pals.

The other unhappy state purohita is said to be a politico from the Puttalam district whose father himself had been a top team member in a previous Blues-led regime. In the days when they were in the opposition, this politico had used to call on the Pohottuwa leader both in the morning and in the evening just to say howdy. However, since the current regime taking office, he had not called at the Lokka’s official residence even on a single occasion, they say.

His main lament is that due consideration had not been given to his seniority in the party.

There are a few other down-hearted purohitas as well in the government. And they all have appealed to the Pohottuwa architect now abroad to return to the country to look into their grievances.
