Stranded?

The Kalutara rebel who cast his lot with the former Madam to protect the Blue party is said to be a highly disillusioned man these days.

He had told the buddies calling on him to console him that politics was now anathema to him, and he had no wish to contest again.  

By the way, several Greens had invited him to join them to ride the elephant, but he had made no positive response, they say.  

Meanwhile, the Blue party boss has reportedly declared the party out of bounds for all defectors including the Kalutara rebel.  

However, he is expected to go public shortly with his plans for the future, sources close to him say.
