Hogging the limelight

The guest-politicos who attended a campaign rally held in the run up to the recent big poll in the premises of a toddy tavern in a historical city, had either to occupy the seats in the back rows or keep standing due to the local politico of the political party and his family members occupying all the front row seats, they say.

The organizers had to erect a small stage for this rally as there was no adequate space at the venue for a stage of the normal size. As a result, only a few guest speakers could be accommodated on it.

The guest-politicos who attended the rally had been fretting and fuming at the cussed attitude of the local politico, they say.
