People see the President as the protector of the Motherland – Kusaladhamma

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa visited the Vidyalankara Pirivena on Saturday and paid homage to the relics enshrined  at the premises.   
Later, the President called on Ven. Walamitiyawe Kusaladhamma Thero and the Chancellor of the Sabaragamuwa University Ven. Prof. Kumburugamuwe Vajira Thero. 
The Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya Ven. Dr. Walamitiyawe Kusaladhamma Thero said. “The people of this country look at President Gotabaya Rajapaksa as a leader who can overcome all challenges the country is faced with while ensuring the security of the motherland.”  


“The visit of the President to the sacred site of Vidyalankara is regarded as a honor”, Ven. Kusaladhamma Thero said.
The Maha Sangha present at the occasion chanted Seth Pirith and invoked blessings on the President.   


The President later visited the Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya and met the Chief Incumbent Ven.prof. Kollupitiye Mahinda sangarakshitha Thero and Ven. Bengamuwe Nalaka Thero and other Maha Nayaka Theros.   


The President will always receive the blessings of the Maha Sanga to continue with his good work,responsibilities, Ven. Kollupitiye Mahinda 
Thera observed.   


Ministers and Members of Parliament representing the Gampaha district were also present.
