Today, Egypt and Sri Lanka are bound by more than twenty bilateral Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding in the fields of trade, investment, culture, arts, tourism, education, civil aviation, political consultation and security. The first round of bilateral political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Egypt and Sri Lanka is due to take place in Cairo on December 12, opening up wider horizons for mutual cooperation and coordination in various fields, for the benefits of both friendly nations.
