In a letter to the Speaker, the Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) organisation requested an opportunity to appear before the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) to respond to the statement made by the All Ceylon Jammiyathul Ulama (ACJU) President Rizwi Mufti. The ACJU used Al-Taqqiya to mislead the Parliament on June 11 during testimony before the Parliamentary Select Committee probing Easter Sunday attacks, the letter said. In the statement before the PSC, Mufti said that activities led by BBS had made innocent Muslim youth to join ISIS.
The BBS said that they have all the video footage’s and pictures to prove that Rizwi Mufti had misled the PSC and public. Therefore, it is appropriate to summon BBS before the PCS so that we can show the real picture of what Mufti said. In the letter to the Speaker, the BBS requested the opportunity for its General Secretary Galagodaatte Gnanasara thera and CEO Dilantha Withanage to clarify their stand  in this regard.

We hope to inform President Maithripala Sirisena, Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the IGP in this regard in the future.
