27 complaints against Bathiudeen, Salley and Hizbullah

The three-member committee, which was appointed to receive complaints against former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen and former Governors Azath Salley and M. L. A. M. Hizbullah, received 27 complaints, during the period that ended on Wednesday.   
Police said 12 complaints were received against MP Rishad Bathiudeen and five against former Governor Azath Salley.   
They said two complaints were lodged against former Governor Hizbullah. Police said eight joint complaints were received to the committee against the trio.   
Accordingly, the complaints received to the committee against MP Bathiudeen were lodged by; M.G. Asela Sampath, Attorney-at-law Indrasiri Senaratne, General Secretary of National Movement Against Terrorism, Ven. Madille Pannaloka Thera, Attorney-at-law Premanath C. Dolawatta, Eelavendran Peris, A. Patrick Jayaratne, Surakimu Sri Lanka National Movement President Ven. Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thera and Attorney-at-law Anuradha Senarath.   
Ven. Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thera and Attorney-at-law Anuradha Senarath had lodged three complaints each.   
Police said T. G. Ajith Prasanna, Attorney-at-law Premanath C. Dolawatta, Ruwan Fonseka, PHU Public Relations Secretary Upul Konara and Ven. Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thera had lodged complaints against former Governor Azath Salley, while another two complaints against former Governor Hizbullah were lodged by Former Jaffna District MP Sinnathurai Thavarajah and Attorney-at-law Premanath C. Dolawatta.   
MP Roshan Ranasinghe, MP Udaya Prabhath Gammanpila, MP S. B. Dissanayake, Finance Secretary of the National Sangha Council Ven. Waththehena Wijitha Thera, Pahiyangala Ananda Sagara Thera, former MP Jayantha Samaraweera, former Uppuveli Pradeshiya Sabha member Thurairajah Naguleswaran and Vijayananda Chandradeva had lodged joint complaints against all three.   
The three-member committee comprising an SSP and two SPs was appointed on June 4 to receive complaints against former Minister Bathiudeen and former Governors Azath Salley and Hizbullah.   
The time period granted to lodge complaints ended at 4.00 pm on Wednesday.
