Untimely departure at sixty-eight after a brief ailment, a sexagenarian, 
Lacuna created, irreplaceable, possessed penchant for charity, humanitarian, 
After graduation from Peradeniya  University, joined educational institute earnestly, 
Self-made lad turned Administrative Officer, promoted personnel officer, Palmodai factory, 
Efficient Bandula then joined Oils & Fat Corporation as Personnel Manager, 
Next at National Savings Bank as Assistant General Manager, succeeded as Deputy Manager, 
Annoyed Bandula left bank, joined VoLanka Ltd. as freelance consultant, industrial relations.

Past President, Institute of Personnel Management, a stalwart, 
Responsible, respectable Human Recourses Labour Consultant, a mascot, 
Among friends, popular as Bandula, seldom lost temper,

Integrity unquestionable, illustrious career, strict disciplinarian, remembered, 
Negligence in his realm never heard, mentioning needles, 
Genuine, generous, creative abilities, talents, inborn mindfulness, 
Heartfelt deepest sympathies I extend to all bereaved family members, 
Embodiment of diligence, your fragrance of togetherness, forgiveness still lingers.
