No one knew the King of Rock ‘n Roll quite like his wife Priscilla Presley. And now, after 27-year-old Austin Butler has landed the role of Elvis in Baz Luhrmann’s highly anticipated biopic, everyone wants to know: who will play Priscilla?

The 74-year-old widow of Elvis Presley was leaving LAX airport this week when she was asked about who might be a good fit, and after being prompted by the interviewer, Priscilla replied, ‘I like Lana!’ Lana of course refers to Lana Del Rey, who has styled herself as a retro musical songstress that could have been Elvis’s contemporary.

According to Radar Online, the 34-year-old singer is extremely interested in taking on the part. While Priscilla stopped short of confirming any casting news in relation to the film, she was sure to say that she’s in the know.

‘I’m in touch with Baz, I know what’s going on,’ Presley said of preparations for her husband’s story to be told on the big screen. Many actresses have been vying for the chance to play her in the yet-to-be-titled film, including Ariana Grande.

The Anaheim-born Butler beat out the likes of Harry Styles to play the legendary crooner. Two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks was the first onscreen talent to be attached to the movie.

Hanks will play Elvis’s longtime manager Colonel Tom Parker. The film is still in pre-production phase, and no release date has been set.
