A new generation of Hollywood royalty is coming up. Corinne Foxx, 25, and Sistine Stallone, 20, are co-starring in 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, a heart-pounding new shark thriller with a teaser out soon.

The rising stars have teamed up 16 years after their respective fathers Jamie Foxx and Sylvester Stallone featured together in the 2003 gambling drama Shade. In the new sneak peek for 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, which hits cinemas August 16, what starts out as a fun scuba-diving trip goes horribly wrong.

Corinne, Sistine, Brianne Tju and The Book Thief star Sophie Nelisse play the four teen girls who set off underwater for fun.Concerned parents played by John Corbett and Nia Long present them with a shark tooth, foreshadowing trouble down below. When the girls get underwater, they come upon the ruins of an ancient city that they assume was built by the Mayans. Skeletons are scattered amid the submerged buildings, and the divers theorise that the bones belonged to victims of ‘human sacrifices.’

However, they soon realise how wrong they are when they detect a creature hunting them - one of them yelps: ‘There’s something there!’ Although the ruins are pitch-dark, the girls turn on their red helmet lamps, and by the eerie glow they see a ravenous shark heading their way.

The teaser then plunges ahead into a hair-raising montage that shows the girls desperately trying to avoid being devoured by the beast. They swim through narrow caves and dart this way and that among the ruins with the shark in hot pursuit, and eventually begin to lose hope.

Their oxygen tanks quickly run low on air and they resort to hiding in a cage, presumably thinking the bars will keep the predator at bay. The first 47 Meters Down movie starred Mandy Moore and Claire Holt and bowed in 2017, becoming a big enough hit to merit a sequel.
