The Ascendant or the Lagna is considered the pivotal point or the matrix in a horoscope.  A strong ascendant is vital for enjoying a healthy, wealthy, prosperous and a happy life.


 When the Ascendant lord is in the Ascendant aspected by or conjunct with friendly planets, the native acquires immense wealth.

 

 

2nd and 11th  Houses too represent gain of wealth and the strength of these two Houses should be carefully examined to ascertain the presence of Dhanayogas


Following table is given for the benefit of readers who may not be acquainted with the lords of different signs or Rashis and their friendly planets. Readers have to remember that the 2nd and 11th  Houses too represent gain of wealth and the strength of these two Houses should be carefully examined to ascertain the presence of Dhanayogas. Following are several planetary combinations that produce Dhanayogas:


The lord of the 2nd House is in the 2nd House itself or in an angle or a trine.  

 

 

Jupiter, Moon and Mercury are in the 11th House from the 11th (i.e. 9th from the Ascendant). The lord of the 11th House is in the Ascendant and the Ascendant lord is in the 11th House


The lord of the 2nd House is in the 11th and the lord of the 11th is in the 2nd House or these planets are together in a Kendra or a Trine (Moolatrikona). 


The lord of the 2nd House is in a Kendra while the lord of the 11th is in a trine either aspected by or conjoined by Jupiter or Venus. Jupiter is in the 11th house while the 2nd and the 9th Houses are occupied by Moon and Venus respectively. 


Jupiter, Moon and Mercury are in the 11th House from the 11th (i.e. 9th from the Ascendant). The lord of the 11th House is in the Ascendant and the Ascendant lord is in the 11th House.


The lord of the 11th House is in exaltation and Mercury is the lord of the 2nd House. (For Mercury to be the lord of the 2nd House it should be in Gemini or Virgo Rashi)
