Director of the Government Information Department, Anusha Palpita has been appointed as the new Director General for the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC). Mr. Palpita yesterday confirmed his new appointment but said it was not officially notified as yet.

Last Tuesday, Director General of the TRC Priyantha Kariyapperuma tendered his resignation from the post.
