Sri Lanka has secured the third place in the medal table of the 11th South Asian Games held in Dhaka after winning six gold medals yesterday.

Four of Sri Lanka’s Gold came in athletics in the Men’s 100 x 4 relay, Women’s 400 x 4 relay, Women’s 400 metres and Women’s High Jump while two other gold medals came in for Swimming and Karate.

Sri Lanka has now equalled the second place with Pakistan in the overall medals table taking thirteen gold medals.

India is leading with 67 gold medals.
