Speaker receives SC determination on Port City Bill

• Will be presented to Parliament on May 18

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena received the Supreme Court's determination on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission draft Bill yesterday, the Speaker’s media unit said. 

The decision of the Supreme Court is to be presented to Parliament on May 18 by the Speaker.
Accordingly, the decision regarding the debate on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Draft Bill will be taken at the forthcoming Committee on Parliamentary Business meeting.

The debate on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill scheduled for May 5 was postponed as the Parliament had not received the determination of the Supreme Court.
