Mihintale as a national heritage site Harrison, Chandrani assigned task

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has assigned Ministers P. Harrison and Chandrani Bandara to coordinate work on the declaration of Mihintale as a national heritage site, a statement said.

A statement from the Prime Minister said a committee would be appointed to accept the request made by Mihintale Rajamaha Vihara Chief Incumbent Ven. Walawahangunawewe Dhammaratana Thera during the Aloka Pooja on Sunday. 
Also, it has been decided to hold the annual Poson procession under State patronage.
