Govt. Health Authority issues Guidelines for conducting of polls under Covid-19

• Social distancing, hand sanitizing and wearing face masks fundamental

The health authorities yesterday handed over guidelines for the Election Commission to conduct the parliamentary elections in conformity with three aspects- social distancing, hand sanitizing and wearing face masks.   

The Commission’s Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya told Daily Mirror that it would decide on the new day of polling only on Monday.  The Commission met with the health authorities to receive guidelines. “The Commission will meet next Monday to decide on the date,” he said.
