Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said the development work and other things are easy when the government is a single party driven one.

The Prime Minister said it is easier to carry out development work now as the government is currently a single party driven one.

“It was difficult to handle the government vehicle as it was manned by two drivers. When one driver tried to speed up the other tried to stop him.
However, it is easy to carry out the development drive speedily now as the vehicle is driven by one driver,” he said in this regard.

“We will set up 50 industrial zones in the country. We will not stop from distributing land deeds”

PM Wickremesinghe making these views over the weekend in Monaragala said they will set up industrial zones around the country.

“We will set up 50 industrial zones in the country. We will not stop from distributing land deeds. I will come again next Sunday to launch more development work. Monaragala was a remote area in the old days.

There is some kind of development in the area now. Ministers representing this area including Ranjith Madduma Bandara and Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri had done a good job as far as development is concerned.

Deputy Speaker is acting his part well at the parliamentary select committee looking into Easter Sunday attacks,” he also said.
