38 Covid-19 patients among O/L candidates

Thirty eight Covid-19 patients sat for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination that started yesterday, Education Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris said yesterday.   

The Minister said special arrangements had been made in advance for such students to sit the exam and that 40 exam centres had been established throughout the country for such candidates.   


The exam which was to be conducted in December, 2020 was postponed till March 1, this year due to the pandemic. The Department of Examinations is planning to release results in June for the immediate commencement of Advanced Level classes.
