There is no end in sight so far to the protracted battle over the leadership in the Green party, they say.
When one faction in the party is trying their best to install Punchi Dasa in the leadership, the other faction is striving hard to retain the current leader in the position.
The pro-Punchi Dasa faction who decided that enough was enough had issued an ultimatum to the leader that either he should go yielding place to their man or they would go a separate way.
Peace-makers in the party is said to be now back in action with a new burst of energy to build a bridge of understanding between the leader and the contender. Their latest strategy is to arrange one-on-one meetings between the leader and each of the pro-Punchi Dasa seniors.
However, the pro-Punchi Dasa seniors have begun giving the peace-makers the slip. They avoid even answering telephone calls from peace-makers, they say.
So, the peace-makers have found themselves staring at a blank wall, they say.
