A story that has gone viral in political circles says that the four wheels of a brand new deluxe official vehicle assigned to a new purohita of the 52-day regime had been found replaced with old worn out ones when it was returned after the fall of the regime.
The vehicle had been returned to the Ministry when the politico had ceased to hold the portfolio following a court ruling.
The four wheels of the brand-new vehicle which the politico could use only for a few weeks are worth over Rs. 400,000 they say.

I think this cussed politician has followed the example set by one of the ex-SLFP Ministers who represented an electorate in Kandy district some time back. It was reflected in the print media. This black-bearded man too had removed the 4 tyres of the official vehicle allocated to him and had returned the vehicle having fitted some wasted tyres to it.Pseudo-patriotism!
