“DHL will, going forward, function as Dialog Group’s investment holdings company for new business areas,” the stock exchange filing by the company said.
Apart from its telephony, broadband and pay TV businesses, Dialog has business interests in e-commerce.
Meanwhile, many view the incorporation of the new investment holdings company by Dialog as a move towards possible mergers and acquisitions (M&A) that will be executed by Dialog in the future.Consolidation in Sri Lanka’s telecom sector is imminent and it is speculated that Dialog is already talking to smaller service providers for M&As.
