Sampath Bank holds 26th Inter Branch/Department Quiz Competition

Bringing in a twist of fun and brain teasing, Sampath Bank recently held its annual Inter Branch/Department Quiz Competition for the 26th time, at the Eagles’ Lakeside Banquet and Convention Hall, Aththidiya, organised by the Sampath Bank Sports Club.  With an overwhelming participation of over 200 teams and 1000 contestants, network service centre and card centre teams emerged as the joint champions of the competition whilst the trade services team claimed the third place.

Sampath Bank’s Mathugama branch team obtained the title of best Outstation team whilst Aluthgama branch team became the runner-up. Sampath Bank’s Kalawana branch team became the Best Difficult Area Branch team of the competition whilst the Badulla branch team secured the second place of the category.  Hosted by Veteran Quiz Masters Ravi Molligoda and Priyantha Dematagoda, the eventful quiz consisted of five rounds covering areas of current affairs, international trade, law, sports and entertainment and concluded with an exciting giveaway of cash prizes 
for all winners.
