MY LATE FATHER LAID FOUNDATION FOR SLPP VICTORY IN N’ELIYA: JEEVAN

My father, late Arumugam Thondaman had laid the foundation for the SLPP victory in the Nuwara Eliya District. General Secretary of the Ceylon Workers Congress (CWC) and Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna candidate Jeevan Thondaman elected for the Nuwara Eliya District at the general election said.

He told the media that it was of great significance that the UNP could be defeated in the Nuwara Eliya District which had been a UNP stronghold for a long time and that he was pleased to have been elected as a young parliamentarian. The CWC Leader further said he mainly focused his attention on the issues affecting the people of the plantation sector and that they had now endorsed his leadership at the general election.
