Give him one day captaincy too, he deserves that for the commitment he is showing for Sri Lanka cricket.

Playing in the Champions Trophy is not about playing for the country but for franchises. So Malinga selected the most lucrative franchise. Big deal? DM should focus on more pressing problems in the country and bring them out in the open rather than using sensationalist/misleading headlines to tarnish sports people's names.

Money matters a lot for him. Not as genuine cricketers like Arjuna, Roshan, Mahela and Aravinda

Well i think its a choice left to Malinga, which is a personal choice,, i do admire his boldness and straight forwardness anyone in his shoe would do,, if he or she had the right mind..

I am not a big fan of Malinga..but in this case he has taken the correct decision.....there is no future for provincial base cricket. It will never be a force....we all know club cricket is the only force in SL Cricket.....you may dump millions as usual for Provincial Cricket...but the result will be the same..

This is a choice between two franchise that he should select and he has chosen the one that will yield more income. There is nothing wrong in that. I also remind everyone that Malinga played for Sri Lanka during the IPL foresaking a lucrative deal.
