A British Sri Lankan who allegedly knocked down a man on the Puttalam-Kurunegala road on Saturday, suffered a cardiac arrest on seeing the hapless victim, and died.

The deceased, Nicolas Allen Thorn (65), was a British National who had obtained Sri Lankan citizenship. He had been working as a member of a non-governmental organization and had resided at Karuwalagaswewa in Puttalam.

Following the accident both the driver of the vehicle (the deceased) and the injured person had been rushed to the Puttalam Base Hospital. However, later it was revealed that the Briton had died while the accident victim had recovered and was receiving treatment at the hospital. (Jude Samantha)

That's what you call humanity. Not everyone is as cold-blooded and heartless as some Sri Lankans. Accidents and deaths can still be shocking to those who are not accostomed to it or still have their humanity in tact,

We have turned into a nation of savages. Jaya wewa 1000s of years of civilization and proud heritage. Continue killing, bribing, stealing, raping, harrassing, incest. And blame everyone else and the world around for all these problems.

This is the new civilization.

This must be the first in the world where the victim survived and the driver in good condition after the accident had died.
