Every year people suffering from various epidemic which we all know of. Municipal Council and Health Authorities reacting only after the cases are reported. Why no one doing anything to prevent these epidemics. Whom these authorities are reporting to? There must be a remedy if resposible officers are pulled and questioned.

What is the purpose of informing the general public that a Dengue Epidemic is imminent in Colombo?

Do members of the public have the facilites and the authority to commence profilactic insecticide sprays in their neighborhoods? Are they supposed to stay indoors, not go to work and concentrate on preventing the dengue mosquitos from stinging them?

Does the local government feel that informing the public of an existing epidemic exonerates it from carrying out the responsibilties of ridding the land of the disease causing mosquito?

Very soon there will be many case from Dehiwela/Mt Lavinia too. The garbage has not been collected for months. Minister concern should take over the Municipality.

Ministers are there today to say the problems to the nation. How ever the country develops politicos brains will never develop.
