A 9-hour water cut would be imposed in several areas in Colombo from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. tomorrow due to an interruption in the supply of electricity to the Kotte Pump House, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board said.

The water cut will affect areas at a higher elevation while low elevation areas will get water under lower pressure.

The affected areas would be Nugegoda to Wijerama Junction, Ethul Kotte, Pitakotte, Mirihana, Nugegoda, Madiwela, Embuldeniya, Koswatte, Moragasmulla, Thalawathugoda Road, Nawala and Rajagiriya.

The Water Board had requested the general public to fill up on their water requirements in advance.
