Robbery at Indian dy HC secretary’s house

Valuable equipment belonging to the Secretary of the Deputy High Commissioner for India, in Jaffna had been robbed at his house, police said.
A complaint has been made to the Jaffna crimes prevention unit regarding a robbery.

In his house which is situated at Brown Road, robbers on Saturday robbed Rs. 22, 000 worth of goods according to the complaints made to the police of the Jaffna Crimes Prevention Unit.

The Indian High Commissioners’ Secretary returned home from work on Saturday around 8 p.m. when he noticed that the door had been broke open. At once he reported the matter to Jaffna Crimes Prevention Unit.

The Jaffna crimes unit is further investigating. (Sumithi Thangarasa)
