The water supply to several areas in the City of Colombo would be interrupted from 8.00 pm today to 8.00 am tomorrow as a result of the laying of new pipelines and maintenance work, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board had announced.

The areas affected are Vauxhall Street, Fort, Pettah, Union Place, Slave Island, Chittampalam A Gardiner Mawatha, Kumaran Ratnam Road, Malay Street, Justice Akbar Mawatha, Marcan Markar Mawatha, D.R. Wijewardena Mawatha and all connected byroads.

The Water Board said that it regretted the inconvenience caused to the public and requested them to fill up on their water requirements in advance.
