This request id due to the distrust in the government of Sri Lanka and the break down of law and order. It is same as requesting International observers.

It is not the US consulate that we need, it is the UN observers in every district in SL/

Why? See the glass half full. Don't sell yourselves to international conspirators. You can move freely around the country, no bombs!

What on earth for a consulate in Jaffna? How much diplomatic or consular work necessitates such a move.?

Where was the US when the kids in the North were being kidnapped by the LTTE ? Shame , to turn to them now , after so many SL soldiers lost their lives to liberate the people of the North.

Your Lordship, this is ONE Country! This is a FREE country. What prevents people from the North and South to travel across the island? Your statement is divisive and only contributes to the problem we have always had. You are a spiritual leader and not a politician, please, please, don't create conflict but contribute to reconciliation. This is what Christianity is about!
